I have just "discovered" Josh Turner, and have fallen into a definite swoon. I don't currently have any of his CDs, and am interested in buying (at least) one. Which one would you buy first? Long Black Train, Your Man, or Everything Is Fine?

If you're not a fan of any of the CDs, which songs do you consider 'Must Haves'?

If you could rank the order in which you would purchase his albums/songs, or the order in which you would listen to them, that would be really helpful.

Tough Call... he only has three out and boy...there are several off each that I am particuarly fond of. SOme his voice is just a little too deep and slow but for the most part I really like him. Dang. not sure I could pick the best of the three. I can tell you my favorites off each one and possibly suggest to you to go over to rhapsody.com and sign up for a free accoutn where you can listen to 26 songs per monthfor free. that way you can go and listen to each song you want to in full. You may want to check youjosh turner albums tube first to see what they have so that you make the best use out of your 26 plays.

I think that buying any one of his cds is great choice, his music is actualy country. And for me its always wonderful to hear Christian Country songs, shows me that country hasn't lost touch of its josh turner albumsroots yet.....:)
I have long black train and it is a throwback to what traditional country music is/was and should be. The fact that there weren't more popular songs than there were (there were a couple) probably stems from the fact that mainstream country radio doesn't play traditional country music nearly as often as they should. When Josh Turner first came out I nearly dismissed him as someone who imitated the style of randy travis but thats not true at all he does the same thing that randy travis does and he does it well. The song in my dreams from the long black train cd is so great I can't believe I never heard that one on the radio. But yeah if your looking for great Josh Turner you can't miss with long black train I haven't heard the others.
