I get really worried about some considerably stupid things. It gets to a point where it affects other ppl, and i hate it, Any tips to relax and loosen up? And begin to act even slightly normally. Any things that have worked for you in the past? Things that dont take months of planning or anything, little things that can help that are realistaclly achievable, thanks x
Deep breathing when you feel anxiety coming on. Walk away from the little thing that is bothering you (even mentallly) and count to ten.
Also take time out to think about things that are important to you and make you happy and when you feel yourself starting to panic about the little things, take a deep breath count to ten and concentrate on what is important to you.
You are on the way to making things better by admitting what you do. If it doesn't get better then would suggest you see a doctor.
go see a dr is my best advice its what i did and it was one of the best decisions i ever made
I personally like Stinky Feet pills... as we like to call them. Actually it is called Valerian Root and man do they stink, but work well. Relax, calm and sleep if you need to. Just hold your breath and wash yoru hands after as they smell like toe jam.
I also suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. They actually get worse when you don't take care of them. I was getting on my own nerves. Check out http://buzz.prevention.com/community/lola-writer/why-do-i-get-anxiety-or-panic-attacks for tips on how to get a handle on it.
I use aromatherapy, Lavender is very calming... Progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing, positive thought redirection, get busy w/ a hobby or something you enjoy doing. Some thing I found helpful was Guided imagery CD's.
I know what you are talking about. I had a lot of the same issues - worried sick about things that other people would consider minor, which drove everyone else crazy. Fortunately I found a great system that worked for me. If you want to read more about my story check out my blog. Good luck!
Here's a great link to some information about anxiety that you might find helpful. Knowing as much as you can about the problem helps immensely:

omg...I feel much better knowing other folks have anxiety (panic) attacks. I also have asthma so they never could tell me what it was until I lost it completely. I'm good now though, but anyway, anyone can deal with anxiety without meds...it just sucks...let me know if you want info
i hate it when i get anxiety attacks cuz i feel like i'm freakin' going crazy. and it sucks cuz idk what is bothering me so much lately. like i'm sure it could be a mixture of things..but deep breaths do help. and doing whatever to get my mind off of it.
I actually just realized I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and what you are describing sounds much like what I experience. I worry ALL the time about everyone and everything! I feel like I am going crazy and if I am in public everyone else will think so too, CRAZY huh?!
I hope since your post is a while ago, you are doing better. What did you end up doing?
Try Byron Katie's the work! It's the best for anxiety.
I use to suffer with anxiety to the point i would not leave home. I was afraid to go to places like Wamart alone. I was afraid i would have a panic attack and pass out or something. I finally went to a counselor and she said, well if you do pass out, eventually, someone will help you up!! lol
I guess what IM trying to say besides misspelling walmart is, you will be fine!! just change your train of thought!! remember when you are focused on something else besides how your feeling, breathing , etc,, your just fine!!! mind over matter... i really hope i can help,, its so stressful
I like what susie03 said and I may say it a bit differently,,, in 3 primary very basic steps. Stop, Remember to Breathe, Say Yes to WHATEVER is going on.
Then before seeing a Doctor I would first check this out... http://howtorecoverfromanxiety.com ... this has been my solution
If you have anxiety you shouldn't go for medications, instead focus on your problems and see a therapist.
I took therapy online (since it's to expensive to go 10 times to a therapist...) at http://www.Online-Therapy.com/.
Works great. I even have my own therapist who I can contact whenever I want
Just a warning: taking medication from your doc will only cover up the symptoms, and once you're off the meds, your anxiety can get much worse.
In my opinion, the easiest way to get rid of anxiety is hypnotheraanxietypy. Here's some good info: http://AnxietyHypnosisGuide.com
When you start using the Linden method ?
I guess much better knowing other folks have anxiety (panic) attacks. I also have asthma so they never could tell me what it was until I lost it completely

When it's about a stupid thing, remind yourself that you're alright, and that your not threatned by anyone, but your self. Just calm down, eventually you'll realize that your fears are for nothing, and you're gonna be happy..
rubber band around ur wrist(dont flick too hard) but flick urself with it whenever u have anxiety episode. works for me unless severe anxiety then i dont really think rubber band thing would work haha. Hope it helps. psychiatrist recommended.
Studies show that Cognative Behavior Therapy(CBT) works the best. CBT therapists & CD/DVD programs help you change the way you think so you don't think/feel so negative. Some supplements & medications work for some people too. But changing your thinking is the best. Ask your Dr. what's right for u.
Well, I too have anxiety, and what I feel best works for me and something you can do anywhere, is deep breathing. Another thing that I find really helps is meditating in the morning before I start my day. It might take a couple of days to get use to meditating, but it works. Hope this helps.
taking deep breaths usually works for me.
i would definitely say see your doctor - this is actually fairly common so they wont be surprised or anything, and they can give you better advice than we can.
other than that, its just little things that will help. make sure you always have time to yourself - being around people 24/7 can be really stressful.
going for walks, reading, watching tv...find something that relaxes you, because that can help.
talk to someone - either your doctor or a friend or a sibling or something - often just chatting through how you feel can really help.
hope this helps a lil bit
see your doctor hun, he or she will help you the best, i suffer from panic disorder and was put on medication, it helps alot.
I found when I used to worry about quite important things, putting them aside did the trick, eg. taking an idea out of thin air, and imagine it in your hand, then tossing it into thin air, then imagine a belief in a pizza/pie cutter where nothing really matters, and you know it's there.
